Everyone has heard of the John Kennedy shooting. But has anyone heard of The Umbrella Man? In some still shots of John Kennedy's drive through Dallas, you can see a man standing with an open umbrella. It is said that the night before JFK's drive through Dallas, it had rained. However the weather was clear and beautiful by 9 o'clock the next morning. So nobody thought to notice the open umbrella until one man, a reporter for 60 seconds, wrote an article about it. The Umbrella Man was evidently standing in almost the exact spot where shoots started coming into JFK's limo. The reporter speculated that The Umbrella Man was responsible for the shoot in JFK's throat. Several theories were thrown about until the reporter asked The Umbrella Man to come forward with the real reason. Louie Steven Witt (The Umbrella Man) went to Washington DC and brought his umbrella. He claimed that the open umbrella was not meant for JFK. It was a visual protest against the appeasement policy of Joseph P. Kennedy who was JFK's father. The umbrella was a reference to Neville Chamberlain's umbrella. Mr. Chamberlain was the person who went against Joseph Kennedy's policy. This picture and video just go to show that something that seems like it is awful at the time can turn out to be totally different.
